Pai Gow is a great introduction to poker gambling

The player and the dealer are both dealt seven cards from which they need to form two hands, one of five cards and the other with the remaining two cards. The five card hand must outrank the two card hand and the player must win both hands to take the pot. Be aware that in Pai Gow the dealer need only win the five card hand and tie the other hand to win. New players should also be aware that in Pai Gow the joker can only be used to form a straight or a flush in the five card hand, and is therefore not a universally wild card. Pai Gow is an excellent introduction to playing poker without the risk associated with some other forms of the game.
