Texas Hold’em is a poker gambling format which uses community cards which are available for all the players to use in their showdown hand. Each player is dealt two cards face down, after which the first betting round is held. Five community cards are then dealt one at a time face up into the middle of the table with a further betting round after each card is dealt. After the final betting round those players still in the game can use any three of the community cards together with their hole cards to make up their showdown hand, and the winning hand takes the pot. Serious poker gambling enthusiasts prefer the Texas Hold’em format because the quality of the final hands tend to be better than most other poker gambling formats and the pot is also usually considerably bigger because of the multiple betting rounds during each hand. Take care if you are new to gambling on Texas Hold’em poker because your commitment to the pot on each hand can become quite significant very quickly.
