With the Olympics and Paralympics now done and dusted, Irish sports gambling fans can turn their attention back to the more traditional gambling sports. Rugby gambling enthusiasts in particular have a very busy couple of months to look forward to. The RoboDirect PRO12 has started with three teams so far unbeaten after their first two games, including Ulster and Munster who meet tomorrow in the first all Irish clash of the season. Irish fans of gambling on Rugby will note that Scarlets are once again in the mix at the top of the table. October sees the start of the Autumn internationals, with the first chance this season for Irish Rugby gambling fans to assess the strength of the Ireland team before the Six Nations starts in the new year. First up is probably the hardest test in the form of South Africa, always a difficult team to beat. This is followed by games against Fiji and Argentina, and Rugby gambling enthusiasts will be interested in what effect Argentina’s inclusion in the old Tri-Nations will have on their performance. Many Irish lovers of gambling on Rugby will also be following the English Premier League, which has also completed their first two games and already finds some familiar names at the top of the table. Leicester, Harlequins, Saracens and Northampton are once again the teams to beat and will of course present stern opposition for the Irish provinces when the Heineken Cup gets underway. All in all it looks as if Rugby gambling fans have another exciting season to savour, with of course a Lion’s tour to finish it off. The recent success of the Irish national team in the Six Nations and our provincial sides in the Heineken Cup has encouraged more interest in gambling on Rugby in Ireland, so let’s hope they have another successful season to celebrate.
