Gambling on Omaha Poker is great fun

Online casino gambling has certainly gained popularity over the past few years and of all the casino gambling games we can now play online poker is one of the biggest winners. Poker gambling has become a favourite online gambling activity for many of us in Ireland and its popularity looks likely to continue rising. The favourite poker gambling game among serious poker gamblers is of course Texas Hold’em, the poker format used in poker tournaments throughout the world, but it is not the only version of poker gambling available online. Most online casino gambling sites offer a range of poker games for us to enjoy, including Draw Poker, Stud Poker and a poker format called Omaha Poker. For those of you who have not yet come across Omaha Poker we have detailed all the rules on our casino games pages, but here is a summary of how it is played. In common with Texas Hold’em poker, Omaha Poker uses five community cards but each player is also dealt four cards face down instead of two. Each player must then use two and only two of their hole cards in their final showdown hand. When gambling on Omaha Poker the player must therefore use three of the five community cards in their final hand. At first glance this difference in the rules does not seem significant but it does sometimes affect how you see your hole cards during the opening betting rounds. Three of a kind for example is not as good as you might think because only two can be used in the final hand. For new entrants to Omaha Poker gambling it is also worth pointing out that it is not possible for there to be two flushes of different suits in the showdown because three community cards must be used by every player. There is no doubt that gambling on Omaha Poker can be just as exciting as Texas Hold’em, why not give it a go.
