Haye versus Klitscho is finally on

After all the hype and protracted negotiations, gamblers on boxing can finally look forward to the World heavyweight boxing unification fight this weekend between David Haye and Wladimir Klitscho, the WBA and WBO,IBF champions respectively. David Haye has certainly done his best to create interest in the fight, but can he deliver where it matters most, in the ring. If boxing gamblers believe he can beat Klitscho, having recently taken the WBA title from the giant Nikolai Valuev in 2009, Ladbrokes are offering odds of 8/1 on a points decision in Haye’s favour. Both Ladbrokes and Paddy Power clearly believe that the fight will not go the distance, with Paddy Power offering odds of 11/5 if it does. Both boxers have good professional records, although only 4 of Hayes 26 fights have been in the heavyweight division, he has still only lost one fight and that was at cruiserweight. Klitscho has lost just 3 of his 58 fights, all of which have been as a heavyweight, the latest loss being back in 2004. Paddy Power and Ladbrokes are both offering gamblers on boxing odds of 4/7 on a Klitscho win, but as usual sports gamblers will find the best odds if they can predict the round when the fight will finish. Ladbrokes in particular are offering odds between 16/1 and 28/1 if boxing gamblers can predict the round when Klitscho will win, and between 20/1 and 50/1 for a correct prediction of when Haye will win. If boxing gamblers think the bookmakers and pundits are right and the fight will not go the distance, but do not want to gamble on a particular round when the fight will end, both Ladbrokes and Paddy Power offer the option to bet on groups of rounds ie. rounds 1-3, or 4-6 etc. Whatever you decide is the best bet, lets hope the fight lives up to the billing.
