Gambling is and always has been a human activity common in every part of the world, and modern technology has provided even more choice for everybody wherever they live. Whether you prefer casino gambling or sports gambling, the choice of games or sporting events online is huge. Online sports gambling in particular has changed out of all recognition and sports gambling fans can now follow almost all their favourite sports all year round somewhere in the world. There are however a few exceptions, with American football a prime example, but there are others. Irish sports gambling fans for example are blessed with their own unique sports gambling opportunities in the form of the GAA sports of Gaelic football and Hurling. In Ireland gambling on GAA sports is very popular indeed, probably only ranking lower than horse racing and association football. One way or another GAA sports gambling also has a relatively long season compared to many sports even though it is generally confined to these shores. That is not to say that many of the enormous number of Irish ex-pats spread all over the world do not follow their favourite GAA sports, but to date world-wide media coverage apart from the internet is not available and this is bound to effect the numbers of people gambling on GAA sports overall. Nevertheless we should celebrate the fact that those of us living here in Ireland have a unique sports gambling opportunity which the rest of the world does not have. If you are a Hurling fan for example this week sees the Allianz Hurling League Final between Tipperary and Kilkenny so why not have a punt on the result and support GAA sports gambling.
