Just a few days to go to the Aintree Grand National so what better subject to cover in the Irish Gambling News. Here at gambling.ie we are not tipsters but in the Irish gambling news we can look at a few of those horses with Irish connections and with maybe with winning connections. Ballabrigs is the defending champion trained by Donald McCain Jr and probably ridden by Jason Maguire must be a consideration but we have heard in the Irish gambling news that Chicago Grey has all the right connections being trained by Gordon Elliot who won the event in 2007 with Silver Birch and ridden by Paul Carberry who won it with Bobby Jo in 1999. Looking further, gambling news also sees the Irish trainer Ted Walsh, father of Ruby, who won in 2000 with Papillon and they have entered Sea Bass and Irish trainer Willie Mullins who won the event with Hedgehunter in 2005. If we look more to jockeys then always in the Irish gambling news is Irish favourite Barry Geraghty and it looks like he will team up with the Nicky Henderson trained Shakalakaboomboom and apart from anything else we love the name. There are plenty more with Irish connections and some very well known names such as Syncronised, one of Jonjo O’Neills entries and there are always plenty of high priced outsiders that you would not like to discount. Aintree is a great meeting and it is not often that gambling.ie talks about gambling on horse racing in the Irish gambling news section but such is the nature of this race that outsiders with large odds can win and it is not unusual for something over 50:1 to be in the places so pick your horse by whatever method you like and let’s hope they all return safely and you win some cash.
